Please Note: Until premiums have been paid in full, you will not have coverage for your plan(s).
All premiums are due on the first day of the month. To avoid any interruption in coverage, it is advisable to pay your premiums two weeks in advance of the first day of the month. There is often a slight delay in the carriers updating their systems to reflect payments received and credited. However, you are legally entitled to a grace period of 30 days to post your payment if you wish. Any payment that is received beyond the grace period will be returned.
The only exception to the above rule is for the very first premium due after electing COBRA. After you elect COBRA, you have 45 days from the day you elected coverage to make the first payment for any back due premiums. These are payments for premiums due starting on the last day of coverage before COBRA was elected. You must pay all past due premiums or your coverage will not be continued. Once all premiums have been paid, the carrier can retroactively cover any claims incurred during that time.
If you have not yet submitted your COBRA Election Form, we cannot accept or credit payment(s) to your account. Please submit your completed form(s) before making payments online.
You may combine payments if you wish to pay for more than one month. In addition, you will be offered the ability to make recurring payments on your account for a designated withdrawal period (Note: you can set up to 12 recurring payments and will need to log in and reschedule future payments when they expire). Please do not make payments for future premiums extending beyond the end of your existing plan year, as rates often change at renewal. If you do not know your plan year, please contact us for assistance.
Partial payments will be accepted but cannot be reported to the carrier until the full amount has been paid. You will not have coverage until all premiums have been paid in full.
If you do not make your payment within the 30 day grace period, your coverage will automatically be terminated without advance warning. You will receive a termination letter at that time to notify you of a lapse in your coverage due to non-payment of premiums. Once your coverage has lapsed, it cannot be reinstated.
If you are making any changes to your coverage, you must first contact us so that the correct amount will be applied to your account.
All inquires regarding coverage or claims activities are to be sent directly to the carrier, just as you did before you elected COBRA. However, if your carrier does not have a record of your COBRA election in their system, please contact us for assistance.
We regret that credit card payments cannot be accepted at this time.
Please contact us if you need assistance logging in, to verify whether online payments is available online for your account(s) or if you have any other questions or concerns.
