Form 5500 is Due July 31 for Calendar Year Plans

Employers are required to report information about their Healthcare Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements using the Form 5500 with the Department of Labor each plan year unless the plan meets certain exemptions. The standard due date for filing Form 5500 is the last day of the seventh month after the close of the plan year. Thus, for plan years that ended December 31, 2016, Form 5500 is due by July 31, 2017.
