Participant Claims Submission Update

In an effort to continually enhance our protection of plan participants’ private information, beginning October 15, 2021 Chard Snyder will no longer accept Savings & Spending Account claim submissions or debit card purchase supporting documentation via email. This change is to help ensure the security of our participants’ personal data, as sending Protected Health Information (PHI) via email is not secure. Our priority is the protection of our participants’ private personal and health-related data.
As of October 15, 2021, plan participants should submit claims and debit card documentation via the Chard Snyder online participant portal or mobile app. Both are available 24/7 and offer a secure alternative to submit information. Using these tools will also ensure that plan participants receive the fastest service and reimbursement of their claims.
Any claim submissions or debit card documentation received via email as of October 15, 2021, will not be accepted or processed. We encourage plan participants to take advantage of our online tools for their security and the quickest processing of their claims.
Plan participants will be also notified of this change via a banner on the Chard Snyder participant portal home page and an auto-response to any emails they submit to us.
