Meet New Compliance Manager Michelle Fowler

Keeping our clients compliant is a key focus area for Chard Snyder. Our in-house Compliance staff helps provide this important service to protect our clients from unwanted risk. Meet the newest member of our Compliance team, Michelle Fowler.

Michelle serves as Compliance Manager for the Ascensus Health and Benefits line of business as well as Privacy Officer for Chard Snyder. She is a licensed producer in health and safety in all 50 states. Michelle graduated from Miami University (OH) with a degree in business and has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Michelle’s most recent position dealt with regulatory and contractual compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, and Medicare and Medicaid guidelines. Prior to joining Ascensus she served as the Director of Compliance for EyeMed, a division of Luxottica Retail North America. 

As Compliance Manager, Michelle’s responsibilities will include compliance procedures, laws and regulations; training and educating on matters including the design, development and implementation of programs and policies; and project management to monitor compliance and cure deficiencies. In addition to supporting compliance-related needs for Chard Snyder, she will oversee HIPAA assessments and controls for the broader Ascensus organization.
